Natraplast® - Natural Polymer Technology
The use of natural, biodegradable raw materials within the plastics industry has generated a greater understanding of the unique characteristics of products such as Fibretron® - Natural Wood Fibres and Flextron® - Natural Organic Powders. The benefits they provide has stimulated interest and use of these products in a diverse range of materials.

Fibretron® and Flextron® are both natural, organic ingredients which can be incorporated into all polymers to improve aesthetics, rheology and productivity. Each product can be supplied in several grades to help a consistent feed for the direct use on extrusion and injection moulding systems.
Natraplast® has been developed specifically as a homogeneous ploymer compound incorporating these natural, biodegradeable raw materials. Cost-effective and easy to use, Natraplast® enables every manufacturer to take advantage of fill Naturally.
The benefits of Fibretron® are shown in the table below. This development work has been carried out with polypropolyne, but natural fibre fillings can be adapted to all thermoplastics and PVC.
Moulding Naturally
Consistent and uniform natural, biodegradeable raw materials- Fibretron® and Flextron®, combined with technological advances in extrusion and injection moulding equipment, have proved that detailed, stable components and profiles can be produced for interior and exterior uses:
Plastics filled with these natural, organic Wood Flours and Nut/ Shell Flours significantly increase scope for the development and production of sheet panels, pipes, tubes, profiles, buckets, fittings and bowls.
Depending on the aesthetic and qualities required in the end product, organically filled polymers can include colours, UV/ Microbial stabilisers and flame retardants.
The mechanical advantages and performance of Fibretron® filled plastics are given in the table above. In addition to these benefits, Fibretron® filled plastics enable you to replicate the flexible characteristics of wood i.e. sawing, nailing and screwing.
